Tracking your mood is one of the best ways to get a look at your overall mental health state and then work to correct it if needed. A bullet journal mood tracker gives you a place to do that easily and creatively.
Tracking anything that is physically or mentally happening with you could help to identify real issues that need to be resolved. A mood tracker can help you to identify depression and anxiety triggers or symptoms quickly.
A mood tracker that is filled with a lot of sad days could mean that there are issues you need to resolve. Likewise, anger or feelings of fear could reflect the same thing. Learning to identify your overall mood and then working to fix that mood could go a long way to resolving issues and becoming a happier person.
Before we get started here is a list of my recommended supplies.
Recommended ProductsFrom time to time the Scribbles that Matter Journal is sold out on Amazon. When this happens third party sellers will try to sell the journal for an insane amount of money. DO NOT BUY THAT! Scribbles that Matter should be back in stock soon. My second favorite journal is the Essentials Dot Matrix, though I warn you the pages on this one are thinner and bleeding and shadows show up on opposite sides. However, it's a decent cheap journal if you are in a pinch and just want to get started.

Mood Tracking To Live In The Present
When I first started mood tracking I was waiting to have every day fill up with all different colors. What I found was I have more happy days than bad, the bad days just feel like they take over.
Mood tracking helps you to focus on your present mood and evaluate your mood through the day. This helps you to determine a bad day from a good day. If you feel like you are always stressed or sad but then you focus on just today’s feelings, sometimes you can be surprised by just how many good or great days you have.
When you see that you have more good days than bad you can actually find yourself feeling happier more often.
Mental Health Benefits
Outside of helping you to live more in the present tracking your moods can have additionally mental health benefits. When pair your mood tracking with daily journaling you can quickly identify triggers for depression and anxiety.
This will go a long way for you dealing with those triggers and recovering faster from them. Half the battle in mental health is knowing what it is that sets your brain on fire. Finding the causes for panic attacks can help you to find the trigger and figure out why you start to panic.
Using a mood tracker can also help you when you are talking to a professional about your mental health concerns. The two of you can identify, talk through, and hopeful find ways to cope with the issues that you are facing.
If you are depressed or need help please reach out to someone. Call a friend or family member and just talk to them. It’s important to talk about your feelings.
Monthly Mood Tracker Setup
Mood trackers are usually set up with color in shapes or designs. The designs can match your theme or be something different. I have seen mood trackers set up as graphs, colorful designs, or theme specific.
Like with every single thing in our bullet journals it’s important that you set it up to work for you. I’ve tracked feelings of fear in order to help manage my anxiety. You want to set up your feelings to match the feelings that mostly apply to you.
Our feelings will never be the same as someone else’s. My definition for a happy day could be completely different than your definition of a happy day.
