Bullet Journal Wreath Doodle Ideas

Wreaths are one of the most popular designs to use in a bullet journal. They add just the right amount of art to your spreads, are easy to create, and can be extremely creative. Wreath doodles in your bullet journal are a fantastic way to mark the beginning of a new month or to highlight something in a weekly spread.

I highly recommend purchasing and inexpensive compass to help create wreaths. This helps you get the wreath perfectly circle and in the center of the page. This is the one I use.

The first thing you should understand about your wreaths is they don’t have to look like wreaths you would see on a door. You can have crystal wreaths, skull wreaths, heart wreaths, the list goes on and on. Let your imagination run wild when creating your wreaths.

As always, make sure you sketch in pencil and then fill in as needed. Work light colors first then move to darker colors. This helps you to keep your light colored markers free from getting ink on them. Save the outlining for last as you usually outline in your darkest options.

If you are working with loads of different colors plan out and pair your colors first so you have complimentary colors near each other. This helps to give your wreath a completed look.

Finally, shading is important in the design process. If you are using markers you can simply go over the color with the same color again to darken any shady areas in the design. You can also choose to go with a one shade darker option if you have it.

From time to time the Scribbles that Matter Journal is sold out on Amazon. When this happens third party sellers will try to sell the journal for an insane amount of money. DO NOT BUY THAT! Scribbles that Matter should be back in stock soon. My second favorite journal is the Essentials Dot Matrix, though I warn you the pages on this one are thinner and bleeding and shadows show up on opposite sides. However, it's a decent cheap journal if you are in a pinch and just want to get started.
