From time to time the Scribbles that Matter Journal is sold out on Amazon. When this happens third party sellers will try to sell the journal for an insane amount of money. DO NOT BUY THAT! Scribbles that Matter should be back in stock soon. My second favorite journal is the Essentials Dot Matrix, though I warn you the pages on this one are thinner and bleeding and shadows show up on opposite sides. However, it's a decent cheap journal if you are in a pinch and just want to get started.

Bullet Journal Christmas Planning

Planning Christmas in your bullet journal will help you to keep some of the holiday stress at bay. I recommend planning far enough in advance that you can spend the holiday season doing only the things you love to do.

I usually start planning out Christmas starting right about now. Of course nothing goes up until after Thanksgiving but all the stressful parts about the holiday have been handled by Thanksgiving making my life easier.

Why To Plan And Track Christmas In Your Bullet Journal

If you are looking to stay organized and avoid holiday stress you can do so fairly easily with your bullet journal. As bullet journalers we are always looking for new ways to stay organized. Planning out a huge event or holiday helps to avoid stress because you know what will need to be done and when.

The holiday season is stressful enough. Planning your parties, budgets, menus, gifts, and even keeping an inventory of your decorations will help you to make sure your set up and take down of all things holiday goes smoothly. I have ideas for making this holiday season planning go easily for you and your family.

Bullet Journal Christmas Party Planning

If you intend to throw a holiday party you will want to make sure you have a couple of different planning spreads in your bullet journal. Between planning the food and guest list, you may want to plan out the music or movies you will show and any games that might be played.

You can plan out a secret Santa for your office party in your bullet journal. Set rules, budgets, picking, and the exchanging of gifts with just a spread or two.

Finally, plan a potluck with friends and family members you might not see on Christmas day or to celebrate the season together. You can create a list of what everyone is bringing, plan out drinks, and maybe put together a surprise or two for your guests.

This spread is meant to hold names of people you are inviting to your party while giving you enough room to mark an RSVP too. If needed I’m sure there is enough space if they are choosing to bring a dish to pass.

Budget Planning for Christmas

The holiday season doesn’t have to break the bank each year. Plan out a gift giving budget in your bullet journal. Budget planning for Christmas also triggers a memory so that you can keep your eyes open for the best pricing.

Many people find themselves going too over the top with their Christmas spending. By setting your budget you are more likely to stick to it through the holiday season. Once you reach your limit for a specific person you no longer look for anything for that person.

Finally, setting a gift giving budget also allows you to talk to people to determine who will actually trade gifts and who will plan for an after the holiday get together with. Many people are going to be relieved by not needing to buy more gifts.

Bullet Journal Christmas Dinner Menu Planning

Menu planning for the holidays is one of the best ways to avoid holiday stress. You can search out your recipes, plan your baking and cooking for days in advance, and you can get the best prices on meats, fresh veggies, and desserts.

Create bullet journal Christmas spreads for your meal, ingredients needed, what can be prepared beforehand, and time table for cooking. This will keep day of cooking to a minimum so that you can actually enjoy your guests.

My menu planning spread is meant for Christmas dinner. Feel free to switch it up for party use. Additionally, feel free to add on more things to keep track of in this spread, time to cook, day to cook, ect.

Christmas Decoration Inventory

Decoration inventory is a great way to make sure that you put away all of the Christmas decorations at one time. How often do you spot a Christmas decoration after you’ve already put everything away? It’s a bit of a pain to climb back into your storage area to make sure it gets put away.

By taking inventory of everything that is put out as decoration you can go back the week after Christmas and check off everything as it gets away. This prevents finding a candle holder, wreath, or small trinket left behind weeks later.

Bullet Journal Christmas Gift Planning

If you aren’t gift planning you could be spending far more money than necessary. Planning what what gifts you are going to get people well enough in advance means you can shop for the best deal.

If you pair this with a list exchange you can also make sure you are getting the people love exactly what they want. A list exchange makes gift planning easier and allows you to stick within a budget.

Use this spread to track all the people that are getting gifts from you this year. Mark down names and what the gift is, just make sure you keep your bullet journal safe from prying eyes so there are no spoilers.

Make Christmas Easier With Your Bullet Journal

You can make planning for the holidays so much easier with your bullet journal. Avoid that holiday stress by being ahead of schedule this year and planning every detail of your holiday season out.

Most importantly make sure you take time this holiday season to actually enjoy the traditions you and your family partake in. Don’t let the holidays pass by without bringing a little bit of the joy into your life. Do what you can to minimize and avoid the stress that the holidays bring.
